The Ferndale Library and Affirmations cohost a social club/book club for kids in grades 4-8, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month, starting at 6:00 pm in the library's program room.

This is a social hour with a book discussion included. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow.

At our next meeting on MAY 28, we'll talk about Ring of Solomon by Aden Polydoros.

Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together.

Drop-Ins are always welcome!

You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online.

About the book: This exciting and adventurous start to a middle-grade trilogy follows a queer boy and his family as they try to halt the chaotic effects of a mysterious ring, drawing upon Jewish mythology to navigate magic, mayhem and the search for pride in one's identity.
