    Calling all Romance fans! Whether you're a longtime reader or new to the genre, you should join Ferndale Library's Romance Book Club.

    We meet monthly on the 1st Tuesday of the month at Urbanrest to discuss a wide variety of Romance titles.

    On Tues. May 5, we'll discuss Not Safe for Work by Nisha J. Tuli!

    We'll have limited copies available at the library, but you can also place a hold online, or find it on LIBBY!

      A District-Wide Art Show to cap off the year!

      Artists in All Grade Levels (1-12) will have works in a variety of mediums on display in the Ferndale Library from May 3 - May 31.

      Opening Reception: Wednesday, May 6 — 5 PM- 7 PM with live music & refreshments

      Ferndale Schools’ Art Teachers curated an impressive collection of the best works created by FPS students during the 2025-2026 academic school year!

      This class will take place in the library's program room and cover the basics of starting a home vegetable garden. 

      We’ll cover: Crop selection and seeding, site selection and growing options, soil basics, moisture, and irrigation. 

      The workshop will be inside, but will involve planting in a small pot, so feel free to bring gardening gloves if you prefer.

      A swap for the romance lovers!

      Bring in newer romance titles that are in good condition to swap with other romance readers in the community. Books can be brought in beforehand, starting Sunday, May 3.

      The book swap is all day, and books brought in beforehand will help get a good selection started before the program begins.

      Just like a book club, only for MOVIES. Join the conversation. Watch the film ahead of time (or, if you've already seen it, plan to rewatch it), and then join us at the Ferndale Library and meet/chat with other film buffs while we watch a few key clips from the film.

      Join the Science Fiction Book Club! This group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, and you can attend either in person or virtually via Zoom. 

      This book club reads & discusses a wide variety of titles that fit into the realm of science fiction, from hard/soft sci-fi and space operas to speculative fiction and dystopic futures, as well as cyberpunk and steampunk, and anything in between...

      On Wed., May 13, we'll be discussing Artificial General Intelligence by Jan Togelius
