Sign up hereFor kids in grades 4-8: The Ferndale Library and Affirmations co-host a social club/book club for kids, tweens/teens, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the library's program room. This is a social hour that includes a book discussion. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow. Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together. Drop-ins are always welcome! You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online. On Tues., May 26, we'll be discussing The Girl from the Sea by Molly Knox Ostertag: From the author of The Witch Boytrilogy comes a graphic novel about family and first love. Fifteen-year-old Morgan has a secret, she dreams of kissing another girl. Then one night, Morgan is saved from drowning by a mysterious girl named Keltie. As the girls start to fall in love, will what they're hiding come to the surface?
