Biography
Dr. Denise Coté is an accomplished academic librarian with twenty-five years of service at a large community college in suburban Chicago, where she specialized in open access, electronic resources, and career and technical education. Originally from Detroit, she is delighted to have returned to Michigan and has resided in Ferndale for the past three years and works at Oakland Community College libraries. Denise is a dedicated advocate for public education and library services to students and the community. She was appointed by the board to fill an interim position in 2026. 
 
Dr. Coté holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University, and a Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University.

Denise's term of office expires December 31, 2026.
