Reading Rainbow
The Ferndale Library and Affirmations cohost a social club/book club for kids in grades 4-8, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month, starting at 6:00 pm in the library's program room.
This is a social hour with a book discussion included. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow.
At our next meeting on SEPTEMBER 24, we'll talk about The Dog Knight by Jeremy Whitley.
Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together.
Drop-Ins are always welcome!
You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online.
About the book: A nonbinary middle schooler saves a dog from bullies and is offered the chance to become the protector of a magical pact between humans and dogs, in the first book of this humorous and heartwarming middle-grade graphic novel series from Jeremy Whitely and Bre Indigo.
