The Ferndale Library and Affirmations cohost a social club/book club for kids in grades 4-8, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month, starting at 6:00 pm in the library's program room.
This is a social hour with a book discussion included. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow.
At our next meeting on MAY 27, we'll talk about The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang.
Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together.
Drop-Ins are always welcome!
You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online.
About the book: A fairy tale for any age, Jen Wang's The Prince and the Dressmaker will steal your heart.
