For kids in grades 4-8: The Ferndale Library and Affirmations co-host a social club/book club for kids, tweens/teens, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the library's program room.

This is a social hour that includes a book discussion. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow.
 

Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together.
 

Drop-ins are always welcome! 

You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online. 
 

On Tues., May 26, we'll be discussing The Girl from the Sea by Molly Knox Ostertag: From the author of The Witch Boytrilogy comes a graphic novel about family and first love. Fifteen-year-old Morgan has a secret, she dreams of kissing another girl. Then one night, Morgan is saved from drowning by a mysterious girl named Keltie. As the girls start to fall in love, will what they're hiding come to the surface?

Join Boston Tea Room Psychic Reader Robert Taylor to learn about the significance of your 7 main Chakras (energy centers in the body originating from ancient Indian spiritual tradition) and their connection to your aura (colorful energy fields surrounding the body).

Robert was born in Carmarthen, Wales (birthplace of Merlin the Wise) and raised near Stonehenge, England. He also spent seven years as a Hindu monk. He was initiated as a reader of the mystical Brighu Yantra, an ancient Indian divination tool. He is also an accomplished Palmist and Astrologer.
