ALBUM CLUB! It’s like a book club, but with MUSIC!

Which albums from a certain artist's oeuvre are their definitive works? Which ones are your FAVORITES?

MAY's selected group/artist is: THE TALKING HEADS - RSVP here!

Calling all Talking Heads fans! Join us at the WAB on Thursday, MAY 22, at 6:30 pm, to discuss, defend, and agree-to-disagree with other music fans about what makes your favorite album or song by a selected artist their definitive ‘best!’
We'll meet at the WAB's outdoor Port Bar, weather permitting; moving indoors in case of inclement weather.

Album club is a way to approach and discuss music in a way similar to our book clubs & film clubs. At each meeting, we will highlight one artist from our extensive music library who has released five or more albums and discuss/debate which album of theirs reigns supreme (and why!)

But wait, there's more:
Before the meeting, we invite attendees to submit their favorite track(s) from their favorite album by each month’s selected artist. From there, we’ll compile and create a playlist to listen to at the W.A.B. on the night of our event, listening to each of our pre-selected songs to hopefully arrive at a renewed appreciation of the artists we love while keeping our spirited debates respectful…

See you at the WAB!

The Ferndale Library and Affirmations cohost a social club/book club for kids in grades 4-8, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month, starting at 6:00 pm in the library's program room.

This is a social hour with a book discussion included. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow.

At our next meeting on MAY 27, we'll talk about The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang.

Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together.

Drop-Ins are always welcome!

You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online.

About the book: A fairy tale for any age, Jen Wang's The Prince and the Dressmaker will steal your heart.
