The Ferndale Library and Affirmations co-host a social club/book club for kids in grades 4-8, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the library's program room.

This is a social hour that includes a book discussion. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow.

Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together.

    Drop-ins are always welcome!

You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online.

On October 28, we'll be discussing Snapdragon by Kat Leyh: a magical realist graphic novel about a young girl who befriends her town's witch and discovers the strange magic within herself.

We'll have a few copies reserved at the Ferndale Library circulation desk in early October or you can place a hold online!  It's also available as an ebook and audiobook on Libby.

About the book: An instant New York Times bestseller, a chilling historical horror novel tracing the life of a vampire who haunts the fields of the Blackfeet reservation looking for justice. A diary, written in 1912 by a Lutheran pastor, is discovered within a wall.
