About this event
Linden Godlove’s art explores connections of life and how we are elements of a greater world. In encaustic, acrylic, oil, and other mediums, the paintings delve into the subtler nuances of human nature, often incorporating anatomical elements and woodland motifs.
For this special solo show, titled 'Keep,' Godlove is bringing together a spectacular survey of new and recent works. The title ruminates on what we hold on to, what we protect, and also how we endure.
Notably, Linden Godlove is also a founding member of FADL’s Arts Programming, which started in Sept. 2012.
Join us for the Opening Reception for Keep on July 13 at 2:00 pm, featuring an Artist Talk, live music, refreshments, and more! No registration required.
More about the Artist:
Her work, an eclectic blend of techniques from Art Nouveau and Lowbrow to the whims of children’s picture books, has been exhibited throughout metro Detroit, including the Scarab Club, the Detroit Artists Market, and Hatch.
Linden is a transplant to Detroit. She enjoys discovering the area, from high culture, lowbrow and searching for the unexpected in the seemingly commonplace. She draws inspiration from Detroit, an archaic sense of romance, and rabbits she has loved. She works out of her studio at 333 Midland in Highland Park, Michigan.
